A
combat dial is the rotating disk found under each Mage Knight
warriors base. By using a combat dial, no complicated
record sheets or damage tables are needed to play Mage Knight.
Instead, a warriors combat abilities are all shown on
its base top or on the combat dial viewable through the stat
slot.
Each
time your warrior takes a click of damage during the game,
you click the bottom of the combat dial clockwise to the next
set of numbers. Try it! Each time your warrior takes damage,
his combat dial numbers change. Usually, a figure will become
weaker as he takes more and more damage. When three skulls
show up on the combat dial, the warrior is eliminated and
removed from the battle.
The
combat dial contains the figures combat values. Some
values contain a colored square or circle, as well. These
colors indicate the warriors special abilities like
Magic Immunity and Weapon Master. All special abilities are
described on the Mage Knight Special Abilities Card. Use the
card when you are playing the game to remind you what special
abilities your warriors have.
